Back from Youth Development Camp'08 !

I'm homebound. (:
(Compare, 13 year old & 5 year old. Haha. ! )

walao. I yesterday type out one full post of the camp in the lappy in my room. then now no draft saved ?! 'Cause it hanged suddenly. wth. T.T fine, shall type out again ! ROAR.

On the serious note,
HELLO GUYS ! EDNA RETURNS. -.-
(Stupid sia, needa type out everything again. I spent 1hr plus to do the post last night ! grr. -.-)
Anyways, the camp is called the Inter-congregational YDP 2008.
Theme: Let's go fishing.
Date: 15-18 Dec '08.
Venue: Taman Hutan Lagenda, Gunung Ledang, Johor national park.
Age: 12-23. (My first time attending. :B)

Day one, (15th, Monday.) woke up at 5 in the morning, exactly at 5 i jump out of the bed. So damn excited lah! Did last minute packing and breakfast. Met ser ern at 6 in the bus stop at my house downstairs. Then went to CCK int, took the first train in the morning 6+ , i think 6.15 like that. The train got quite alot of people eh, i thought nobody one. First time take train so early. and 8o% of the people inside the train sleeping lol. Typical singaporeans. (: Then, when reach AMK interchnge, met syd & yuhui & took bus 25 to the meeting place. The coach came not long after and we all got on. went to checkpoint & blahblah, altogether arnd 3hrs+. B)

When reach there, my church members last to reach cause the bus uncle lost his way then we went to wrong place lol -.- exchange greetings and hugs with church members of the other congragations, Jurong church of Christ, and malaysian congreation, Ipoh and Klang church of Christ. Alot of people lehs, 94 people i think LOL. Then we went to dorms. Go unpack. Then went to have lunch. around 2 liao that time. Then got welcome messgae and breifing. Then we all separate in to 6 groups. Lol, me, ser ern, syd & yuhui all seprated sia. I'm in group six. Group name is titled Starfish. Due to the theme lol. Funny lah.

Then we played games. First game we played, had to intro ourselves to our group members. I remb i intro to 5 peeps. Joan, Patrick, Stephen (He damn friendly.), Victor, they from Malaysian congregation. Crystal also got intro though i know her le, she's from Jurong church of Christ. Very hard lor, I'm shy okay ! LOL. I just 'Hello my name's Edna & I'm from the Lim Ah Pin Church of Christ. You ?' :) See, so friendly ! LOOOL. I don't like those people who just answer say what church they from then stunned there don't wanna crap with me more. very sian. anti-social x:

Then after that, all the girls have write a short description of themselfs, then fold up the paper. The guys also. Guy's & girl's put into different box. Then the girls have to go to the guy's box and pick up one paper, then needa find they guy. The guy also have to find the girl. I was telling yuhui that it's like match making lah ! -.- Haha, but fun lah ! The guy that i have to find is 13 year old same as me O: My first impression was like very funny lah, 'cause he wrote on the paper 'sorry for bad writing' Haha. He super tall lah, din't know he was 13 o.o Then i ask Stephen help me find 'cause he's from Ipoh Church of chirst also mah, wahahaha :) Actually the first one i asked was his twin brother. Then he said, 'you just have to find someone which looks exactly like me.' I thought he playplay nia , but he really got twin brother, lol ! Super yandao lah both of them. :D (Don't anyhow think -.-)

Then after that game, we went into our groups and have to play a game which is like, starting from 2 people, you have to step on the newspaper and you needa flip the newspaper without stepping on the floor. Quite fun :D My group during the 4-people round got first ! LOL. After that, we were told to brainstorm on 2 skits, one on evangelism & another on heroes. Then we all planned till quite late. Then we discuss over dinner then after dinner was bible class. Then had shower before supper. The water damn cold man ! somemore got so many insects lah ! Grasshoppers, moth, lizard & housefly everywhere ! Omytian lol. Bathe with those peeping toms -.- After that at night we rehearse the skits. Then we played taboo & card games. Learnt alot of new games ! Very fun :D Stayed up till 2 plus. Then sweet dreams. :)

Day two, (16th, Tuesday.) early in the morning we ownself play frisbee. Quite fun & church got alot of pros (: Then, had bible study till 3 with dinner and few min breaks in between :) Then played game ! Every group will recieve one set of newspaper. Every group same one. Then the organiser will ask questions and the answers will be found in the newspaper. Very enthu lah, everyone search the newspaper until so ganchiong, lol. :D Then after that game, we played a game which is something like twisters. Each group got abt 15 peeps. Then the organiser will say something like, 'I want 40 fingers, 13 legs & 7 elbows.' Then everyone in the group must participate, however only the number of body parts called out can touch the floor. So very hard la. Lol, embarrasing also LOL. Nevermind, all embarass tgt :) Then the second game was that each group will recieve some satay sticks, strings & glue. Then we had to form a bridge. But our group was to creative already lol. In the end the base can't take the weight of the 'road'. So the whole thing screwed and it looked like 'camp fire' LOL. Its like the last 10 mins or so we all pek check alrdy then anyhow throw the extra sticks on top of the 'bridge' don't care liao haha ! :D

Then rehearse the skit again :D Discussed over dinner. Then had bible class. Then had games againnnnnnn :B Okay, the first game is like, 15 peeps, stand in one circle, then got 5 chairs in the center. Then after that when the organiser blow the whistle everyone have to climb up the chair asap. Then it will get harder 'cause after each round they will remove one chair. Haha, but was so so so fun lah ! Then went to bathe. Super cold water sia. T.T Kinda used to it le lah LOL. Then got supper & then plan the skit again, something like full dress rehearsal. Then i needa go back to dorm myself to find a purple blanket man ! wth, so dark sia. But i made it LOL. so scary. Then inside the dorm the lights off ! I din't know where the lights is LOL, then i just faster anyhow take one dark coloured blanket and run out then i saw one super huge lizard on the wall i screamed dao siao LOL. x: Planned till 1 plus and guess what ?! They dint use the blanket T_T roars, lol. after that we played games after lights out x: slept at abt 3.

Day three, (17th, Wednesday.) woke up at 6.45 had breakfast then bible study till abt 2 with lunch and breaks in between. Then we played outdoor games ! FINALLY. Outdoor games ! :D Okay, the first game was like, each group will have to classify yourself into the smartest, lightest, strongest, tallest, oldest category. I was in the 'lightest' group with Joan. Then, the smartest have their mouth taped up so they can't talk. The strongest got their hands tied up behind their back so they can't carry anything. Then the tallest had their right hand taped to their left hand, one side only. So they from tall become 'short' LOL so funny. Then the lightest, they had their legs taped up. (Yes, poor me !) Then i was saying later when take the tape out all the leg hairs gone LOL then everyone agreed with me :) wahaha. Really cannot walk man. Then need people to piggy back us. Haha, shiok. ;D

Then, we went back into our group everyone is like 'handicapped' in some way. So, the first task that we had to do was to stand in one row then all of us have to face in one direction. Then we all needa lower straws together, but as the staws is combined tgt, the straws cannot break apart if not gone case LOL. very difficult 'cause those blinded and those who have their hands tied behind their back dont know when to lower the straw 'cause they can't see. ke lian ): Then the group who finished first, they got to water bomb all those who not done yet. wth, then all those who can't see or walk kana bomb till siao 'cause the rest can run. T.T ! But still, was fun lah ! Haha :D

Then the second task is to let the 'blinded' blow up balloons bigger than their head. But diffcult fr them 'cause they can't see, then people can't help them. Then, those who have their hands tied behind them needa spray shaving cream on the blown up ballon. difficult 'cause they can't see behind their back. Then, those who can't walk have to use a shaver to shave the shaving cream off the balloons. Its hard 'cause we have to use our leg to hold the balloon. and if the balloon fly away cannot run after it. Lol :) Those who finish already take shaving cream throw people. Disadvantage to the poor blinded and un-walkable people. ):

The third task is to make everyone stand in one row and we gotta pass a bag of flour to the person behind you. (Very pain for me sia, need to stand up ! wth. ): ) Then those who can't see also die. The flour bag got holes also. Cfm dirty de. But quite fun too :B I got to throw flour at other people ! Hahaha ! :D Then, at the end of the games, the organisers become phathetic victims, tio throw shaving cream, bomb by water bomb & throw flour haha ! The stephen go throw flour over my head LOL i revenge by water bombing him -,- neh neh ney poo poo. ~ =.= Then, went to shower (duh!~) and had dinner.

Then all went into the auditorium :D Time to present our skits ! Yay :D Very super high some were really very funny. Everyone laugh their head of when stephen did his chair dancing part. Before we perfom he kept saying 'ahh, few mins time my dignity will be gone.' LOL. He put on make up and tied his hair sia. During his part we play the womanizer song LOL. 20 years old alrdy still so childish. Very cute lah LOL. Now whenever i hear the womaniser song will think of him man. Haha (:

Then, after that the whole night din't sleep. Last night mah :D Then all stayed up. Played alot of games me, syd, yuhui, diana, danial, kelvin, gordon, daryl, mutant (ninja turtle LOL) & 2 other guys! Haha, played truth or dare. tio alot of times ! seems like the bottle likes me alot lor. Quite sway 'cause got alot of guys there then they think of all those -.- questions & dares. Then played dare or double dare. more fun ! But gordon always think of all those disgusting stuff. Haha, poor thing :D Too bad that time i din't really do anything extreme :)

After awhile the girls including me decided to explore the guys dorm LOL. They din't even put the bedsheet properly and put the tilam on the floor, so messy. Haha, the unglam people. Played inside for awhile, card games. Only 4 girls sia. Then after awhile we decided to go back down cause we don't wanna disturb those guys who are still sleeping. Stayed up from 10 at night till 7 in the morning.

Last day, (18th, thursday.) was quite tired. Then played outdoor games again ! B) tug of war & captains ball ! :B At first quite alot of people not really enthu 'cause they tired. But after awhile all enthu already :D Very super fun lah. But then din't play tug of war. Later i fly how -,- Then Stephen suddenly before the captains ball finals said that this will be his last time going YDP 'cause he going UK or idk where to further his studies. When he come back after 2-5 years his age will be over limit to come YDP already. Emo sia the whole group. He's like our 'group leader and most humorous one ('cause he dare to do the chair dancing LOL) Then he said 'so all of you must do your best and win this captains ball finals & let me have favorable memory of my last YDP camp.' Then everyone very pressure lol. But in the end we won the other team by 2-0 and got finals. Was super happy lah haha :D grats peeps & good luck in your studies, Stephen. After that went to pack bag and had lunch, i din't eat 'cause i pack my bag till over time. Then went to take pictures with alot of people :D After that went off the place at abt 2+ and went for mid-week service till 9 then end. Then reached home at 1030 :D

Okay lah, its that time 2nd night we wanted to buy burger, then we queue at wrong place, then wait very long, so we keep saying 'chicken burger' then he kinda smile at us then we go make it into bangala slang. Btw, he look like mas selamat man, only too dark to see. *laughs* Then, that time before we left the place, she asked to take pic with him. Then he din't really understand, he thought we asking him to help us take. Then yuhui was like 'nonono, take together' Then He was like shyshy ROFL!~ Okay that's it, now shall post up the Gospel meeting pics :)
